Accessibility statement
Last updated 26 October 2026. This statement covers dnep.co.uk: the website, the demo, and the DNEP apps teachers and parents sign in to.
Our aim
We want everyone who uses DNEP, including teachers, parents and pupils with disabilities, to be able to use it. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. You should be able to:
- zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen, and use DNEP on a phone
- change colours, contrast and fonts with your browser or device settings
- move around most of DNEP with a keyboard
- use most of DNEP with a screen reader
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use.
How accessible DNEP is
DNEP has not been audited for accessibility yet. We are checking it ourselves, part by part, and expect some parts not to meet the guidelines fully yet. We have not yet checked:
- the Lesson Planner, Cover Work Builder and Exam Builder, which began as Google Apps Script tools
- the tracker’s charts and learning-journey map
- lesson resources and exam papers in PDF, Word or PowerPoint
- the demo
We will list problems here as we find them, with when we expect to fix them.
Tell us about a problem
If you can’t use part of DNEP, or need information in a different format, email info@dnep.co.uk. Tell us the page and what went wrong. We will reply within 5 working days. If your school uses DNEP, you can also ask your school.
If you are not happy with our reply, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
